Denver International recently marked the opening of three new local restaurants near Gate A26 鈥 Maria Empanada, Uncle and The Bindery. Maria Empanada is a Denver caf茅 that specializes in authentic Argentinian empanadas. Uncle is a Denver-based ramen shop with locations in the Highlands and West Washington Park neighborhoods known for its bowls and Japanese-inspired food. The Bindery is a New American fine dining restaurant, wine market and bakery located in Denver鈥檚 Lower Highlands neighborhood.
Four new restaurants are now open inside the 鈥楽F Eats Food Hall鈥 at San Francisco International鈥檚 Harvey Milk Terminal 1. The new dining options are Kitava, a clean casual restaurant; Kona鈥檚, named one of Esquire Magazine鈥檚 鈥淏est Bars in America鈥 in 2021, offering a casual environment with cocktails inspired by street markets from around the world; Napa Farms Market, with grab-and-go 鈥渇arm to flight鈥 fare made on-site, including salads and sandwiches, as well as wood-fired pizzas; and Tony鈥檚 Pizza Napoletana, honored in 2024 as the world鈥檚 sixth-best pizzeria, showcasing the culinary creations of award-winning pizzaiolo and celebrity chef Tony Gemignani.
Two new local concessions have opened at Houston鈥檚 William P. Hobby Airport 鈥 Killen鈥檚 Barbecue and SpindleTap Brewery. Killen鈥檚 Barbecue, led by Chef Ronnie Killen, brings its Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand-recognized flavors to Hobby Airport for the first time. Known for its brisket and Texas-style ribs, Killen鈥檚 has become a culinary landmark across Texas.
Downtown Chicago restaurant, The Dearborn, has opened a new location at Chicago O鈥橦are International鈥檚 Terminal 5. The all-day menu brings signature dishes to the terminal, including fish and chips, as seen on Beat Bobby Flay, alongside fried chicken wings with maple mustard glaze, a smashburger and more. 鈥淚 am proud to welcome a world-class Chicago eatery like The Dearborn to our world-class airport,鈥 said Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Michael J. Three new locally-themed retail stores have recently opened at Oakland International. The new stores include Roll East, Oakland Supply Co. and Lake Merritt Essentials. Roll East is a news and convenience store located in Terminal 1 between Gates 10 and 12 and is inspired by the Township Commons at Brooklyn Basin, a waterfront public park. Lake Merritt Essentials is located in Terminal 1 by Gate 1 and is inspired by Oakland鈥檚 Lake Merritt. Oakland Supply Co., created by Oaklandish, is located in Terminal 2 across from Gate 22 and offers specialty crafted retail items ranging from leather goods, jewelry, apparel, books and more.
